Well, one day this had to happen, but I believe the day is today, I've also pointed out
what is wrong on another game from IMC Games, and the developers seems to didn't give
it a damn, but anyway, I'll still try posting it anyway.
I've been playing the game since the time you had to get training equipments from inside a box every 20 levels,
by redeeming tickets for them, and that time, looted equipment could end up being a lot better than
those training gears.
To begin with, the game seems to have changed from exploring the mysteries of Granado Espada Continent,
to end up being a choreic dungeon crawler, where you have to login everyday to do the same dungeons and have the
same kind of loot being looted over and over, which is BORING.
Exploration after level 100 for example is unrewarding, since the maps will not have much to offer, beside one
of the points that would incite exploration, would be the Ferrucio Statue quests, so you could get some exp
cards to give at least a small bonus to your character experience, but not even that there is anymore, since
the Ferrucio Statues now seems to do nothing.
The Ferrucio Statues used to give Exp Cards to the player, which gave a little boost of experience, but
after the change on the pioneering system, which I still didn't get it, you seems to gain point by
grinding monsters, and the statues now gives you NOTHING. So grinding is the only way of leveling up
if you completed most of the game story at least once.
If you have explored the maps above level 100 on the Granado Espada continent, you may notice that the
monsters drops equipments of around level 72~96, that is because they changed the level of the maps to
above level 100 so the players have a place to level up their veteran+ levels, but didn't changed the loot of
the enemies, most likelly because if monsters above level 100 dropped their gears, I believe nobody
would spend the rest of their life doing dungeons like Bounty Hunt.
Beside I believe not even with the looting of level 100+ gears from map monsters the players would want to
change their gears, unless it's a Expert leveled gear, since the Crescemento equipments makes so you never
have to worry about equipments from level 1 to 100. Turning the loot you get from the fields useless, making
you wonder why they exists, just to give you some vis maybe? It's initial intention certainly were that those
loots were a way of getting vis only, being that some of those items have even special effects, like boosting
a skill or bonus in status.
The Expert stances are also quite a problem, not because they are good or something, but because they outmatch
the other stances the character have, that is because of their status bonus that enter in effect when you have
that stance on use, if you for example loved playing with your character using a pre expert stance, on expert
or higher you will have to ditch that stance you loved, because the expert stance is way better than the
pre expert stance, because it gives absurd status that makes your character more durable or deal more damage,
that may even cause the character you are playing with to use a kind of weapon it does not have a stance for,
for example, a player who begins playing as a Fighter using Escrima stance, having to change the stance to
Equites, since is the nearest thing to Escrima. I feel like the Expert Stances should be an Extra, not a obligation
on higher levels.
The Veteran, Expert, Master and whatever comes after that is a MISTAKE, should not exist, really.
Upon reaching Veteran level, you begin a grind hell where you have to acquire the same amount of
experience to reach the next level, and that happens for 10 levels and at every promotion level,
you face a increased max exp need, but the same for 10 levels of that promotion, sincerelly, would
be better if the game didn't had those stupid promotions and instead directly level up the character
above level 100, like level 101, 102, 103.. I believe you would end up with a higher level than with
the promotion on the end.
The promotion rankings end up giving huge bonus of status to the player, causing that if a highest promotion level team of characters
goes baron to other players, would be like being attacked by a god, since the enemy player's status
are so absurdly high compared to the player being attacked, that defending against it would be futile,
since the entire team would die in 1~3 hits.
The Baron system is also a terrible idea, It's sole purpose seems to be of annoying other players,
because rewarding it is not, by doing baron you acquire a amount of experience from the defeated player,
plus increases your baron level, being that if your character is killed, depending on your baron level,
some of your character gear will drop on the floor when dead.
Why the heck this exists? To bully new players?
The game quests are great, at least from level 1 to 100, because after level 100, it begins turning into
an annoying grind, most likelly to gather hundreds of materials, or are materials that drops from certain monster,
also counting that some quests may end up sending you to a suicide boss fight, because you for example, are facing
level 100~110 monsters during the quest line, and suddenly the quest sends you to fight a level 130 boss.
Just what? And the best, if your quest is for recruiting a character, then your light bill will rise that month
because of the amount of time you'll pass grinding for the necessary items the character will need.
And there is the best part, you need to be full geared and op if you want to begin Kielce and the other
episodes, or even raid Montoro's castle in Viron, since the festival of bad balancing begins after you place
your step there, like the quests of helping Marchetti test his inventions. Someone wanna defend yourself
from some 255 pierce turret attacks for a few minutes? Someone? Anyone?
The game have also a lack of items in the end game, from level 1 to 100, you may end up seeying as loot items
with the same appearance but with different level and status, beside being annoying that the item
look's like some trash you acquired on lower levels, It still would be good since the weapon got a 'upgrade'
to that level, but after level 100, there seems to be 1~3 kinds of the same weapon type for every promotion ranking,
being that variety of equipments acquired doesn't exists, and you most likelly will find them when doing dungeons,
like Bounty Hunt.
Since after Viron update came, the game is receiving less and less characters that are acquired from the story,
that are added when the game enters a new act,
and making the others be acquired through cash flushing events like Lyndon Box, beside that being not much of a
problem, the acquisition of the new character seems to be the only pro of every update of act the game receives,
since rarelly it will implement a new equipment set, or anything else that increments the player gameplay.
Also talking about the characters, look's like the new characters have only a kind of gameplay, since their
list of stances disponible is very limited, not even having a stance that is based on his gameplay type,
but using a different weapon there is, most likelly, you find your character with the Bareknuckle stance,
a pre vet or veteran stance, being that there is a chance you may find your character with it, and a
expert stance, that depending on the character, may be already unlocked since after you acquired it.
Check out Neo if you want to know what I am talking about.
The Gigante Island is the lair of the Fire Island, which is rummored that there is a instance there, but if
you are not yet higher leveled to reach it, you may try grinding it's field, only.
The area used to have some minigames where you could distract yourself with, and also acquire tickets to
get some.. Junk.
The bad is that look's like the people who made those minigames were fired, or moved to some other continent
because of bad business, since the place is lacking of things to see now, not even the battle arena, where
you could face a tough boss with your team alone is there. What a shame Bernelli.
The events in the game, they are basically 'continue doing what you do everyday to gain points in the event',
the events are lame, not even fun they are, and their rewards are the same rewards given
on other events launched like.. Last week or last month, they doesn't even give anything unique to the players.
Having multiple characters is a pain, since you need to spend unrewarding times grinding them, because since
quests doesn't respawn, and the ferrucio statues no longer give you exp cards, you have to grind until your
characters bleed to death, and when you reach Veteran or Expert levels, you have to do raids several times
to acquire the equipments for them, or buy them from the shops for millions of vis, or should I say billions?
The community of the game, everytime I return to the game, seems to be composed of the same people, because 90% of the
time you will see the same players chatting on global chat, or stopped at town, or even grinding at the fields and dungeons,
by the look, the game were not receiving new players latelly, and I can't blame them.
This game used to be great, and this server too used to be great, even were better than the other server of
this game, but latelly, look's like both servers are the same things.
The purpose of why I made this topic, was because I heard some time ago, that the developers 'found out that there is
something wrong with the game', I had to act all sarcastic about that, and got furious when they stated that
'most of the players didn't finished Bahamar plot line'..
Since they seems to be getting Sherlock Holmes latelly, I'm giving all my feedback about the game, hoping that
the 1d6 will roll a number which have the chance of the developers notice that the game now is bad, and try changing
it to be a good game for all players.
Well, I guess that is all I have to say about Granado Espada's current state, and what I think that is wrong with
it. If you agree with what I say, ok, if you don't, ok too, because even if you disagree, my opnion is here, so
accepting it or not is in your decision.
But sincerelly, Granado Espada were way better years ago, even in that time where passing level 70 were a hell.
